8 tips for successful telephone consultation
- Before calling, compile a personal list of questions you would like to submit to one of our staff members.
- Ask the staff member for his or her personal field of expertise, to get a clear idea of the methods and channels by which he or she will help you.
- Be open to new perspectives on your problem or the matters you are calling about. The staff member aims to help you view your question or problem in a new way. There are times when you may be stuck in your old outlook or way of thinking, and our staff can help you regard things from a different angle.
- If you're not sure you fully understand what is said to you, then please don't hesitate to ask the staff member to explain it again in a way that is easier for you to understand.
- Enjoy your telephone consultation. Consider it a session intended to help you move on, to console you, to let go of old hurts, and to make new plans for the future.
- Try not to ask questions about time. Time as we know it here on earth does not exist "beyond", so such questions cannot be answered.
- Try to keep an open mind for our staff. A more open-minded attitude will result in a smoother consultation, since these consultations consist of interplay between both participants.
- Do not expect any tailor-made, ready-to-use solutions to your problems. We can hand you a solution or give you a push in the right direction, but the rest will truly be up to you.
